Roof Washing
Soft washing is a cleaning method originally developed mainly for safely removing algae from shingle roofs, as it is a more delicate process than high pressure washing. If you begin to see dark gray or black streaks on your roof, that is a sign that you have algae growing, which is the early stages of something that will grow to be much more problematic if not addressed. Algae growth will eventually turn into lichen, which attacks your roof shingle granules and can lessen the lifespan of your roof dramatically. Mold, moss and other bacteria tend to be more prevalent in areas within close proximity to the water. Soft washing is the only solution for cleaning your roof, as high-pressure washing can be too harsh for this application. Soft washing has also become a more effective process for washing the entire exterior of your home or business, which includes siding, gutters and soffits. Some siding materials and/or finishes cannot withstand the high velocity of high-pressure washing without the risk of causing minor damage or compromising the finish with streaks or other unintentional finish removal. For those more sensitive areas, soft washing with our hot water and eco-friendly detergent solutions will be the safest and most effective method of cleaning.
